Some animals make things; that makes a difference

Many animals are builders: birds, for example, make nests, spiders make webs. None are strictly weavers but all have to establish a relationship with their building materials and all experience a relationship with the completed structure. I will explore these relationships in the hope of clarifying similarities and differences between the making of animal and human artefacts.
